Housing market activity is expected to continue to pick up in the short to medium term due to the following factors:
– the Ministry of National Economy announced that savings in voluntary pension funds can be used tax-free for housing in 2025, and
– next spring, a significant part of the thousands of billions of forints of savings from premium government bonds offering outstanding yields may find a place in the housing market
These two factors could provide a major boost to housing market activity next year, and could also accelerate price increases.
