– Available from 03.06.2024, it can be applied for until 31.12.2025, but will end earlier if the available budget is exhausted before the deadline.
– a total budget of HUF 108 billion is available, from which the state finances grants and interest-free loans
– the maximum budget for the investment is HUF 7 million, of which the total home renovation grant plus the co-payment may amount to a maximum of 85.7%. This minimum grant of HUF 2.5 million and maximum grant of HUF 6 million is made up of a variable ratio of an interest-free loan and a non-repayable grant
– minimum own contribution: HUF 1 million
– the amount of non-refundable state aid that can be claimed: HUF 2,5-3,5 million per district
– the objective is to support the energy modernisation of family houses built before 31.12.1990
– for property which the applicant has been living in since 1 May 2024 at the latest and which is registered in the land registry as a detached house, detached house, semi-detached house, detached house, terraced house or semi-detached house
– the same property can only be subsidised once, and the same individual can only benefit from the subsidy once
– the following can be financed from the aid: thermal insulation of the external boundary elements of the building, replacement of windows and doors, modernisation of the hot water system, modernisation of the heating system with a high-efficiency boiler, the associated chimney lining and the associated heat transmitters
– the basic requirement is that the renovation must result in a reduction in energy consumption of at least 30 % compared to the baseline
– we have to submit an invoice for the material fee as for the labour fee, so we will not be able to account for the work done by our own hands.
– deadline for completion of the works: 24 months, which may be extended once by 6 months
– you can apply for the programme and apply at MFB points (OTP Bank, MBH Bank, Granite Bank). Applications are processed in the order in which they are received.
How can you prove energy savings? Before and after the investment, you will need to have an energy performance certificate to clearly demonstrate the results of the retrofit (I can help you with this through a partner I work with, contact me to arrange an appointment).
